New Zealand fur seal, Arctocephalus forsteri, VT2713

Physical Description

Skull and lower jaws of NZ fur seal. All teeth are in place. Black staining observed in the teeth is common for the species. Some remnants of dry cartilage are seen around the alveoli, nasal cavity and base of the skull.
