Physical Description

Koauau wooden.Round in section, polished patina from handling. Surface pattern Maui and extends across main surfaces. Ngututa style human figure features tongue extending over and under lower jaw. Double spirals on shoulders and thigh and feet sitting on wheku style head. Possible pounamu or green glass insets for eyes of figure, another at base of foot, with another between third and forth finger holes at proximal end and on opposite side. Rectangular shaped red sealing wax inset between second and third hole. Four holes in total
