Physical Description

Lid of very large oval box. Lid flattish with underside slightly concave. Lid ornamentation dominated by two very large full human figures in almost full round. They have very large heads with a full moko, one female, one male. Surface decoration the usual groove and dot straps. These are divided into eight sections by a central line and three lateral ones. Paua eyes are fitted to the heads.
