Battle Axe, F73.42

Very large convex blade. Decorated engraved building (mosque?), three brass figures in door, floral decoration at sides. Seven holes on each side of blade back, notched. Large rectangular mount. Large engraved letters. Mosque-like embellishments on back, opposite blade: two domed huts, large spear-point in centre. Brown wooden shaft, square-section, spike at top, iron pommel, three brass rivets fasten shaft to tang.
