Physical Description
Japanese Polearm (yari). Short blade triangular in cross-section. No fuller. Tang penetrates into shaft. Copper collar. Gold painted at top of shaft, followed by black paint or lacquer over a ridged section. Below this, a gold painted plaited cord bulge. Wooden shaft with metal butt cap.
