Physical Description

Ivory figure seated on a double lotus throne in the lotus position. The figure is long faced and feminine in appearance, dressed in a long robe decorated with floral patterns. The hair is worn high on head and is covered by a cowl. An elaborate necklace is worn on the chest. Hands are pressed together in the position of prayer. Two black dots have been painted on the eyes to represent the eyeball. On the right shoulder are two small ivory plugs that have been used to fill some imperfection. Stand has carved edges that look like slabs of stone. Hollow. Has carved top which fits around flower figure sits on.
