Physical Description
Black figure pelike with painted scenes on both sides. Low, wide foot. Bulbous body with narrow neck flaring at lip.
A scene on each side is framed by a palmette and ivy border at the top and a line border at the bottom. On one side, Athene and Ares fight giants. On the other a man is standing on a podium giving a recital to two other men. Below the podium, a dog gnaws a bone. Palmette below each handle.
