Physical Description
Carved steatite lamp with wide, open, apsidal body with thick walls. Nozzle formed by apex, blackened by use. Outside scored with a band of concentric circles, for which a compass device appears to have been used, between scored horizontal lines. Flat back wall rises on either side towards large handle stub in the middle, back scored with vertical lines to either side of this. Upper border slopes down to nozzle. Convex, undefined base.
