Physical Description

A small clay tablet with a figure in relief stamped upon it. The figure is seated in the lalitasana position (partial lotus with left leg dangling) and has six arms, two holding attributes, and the principal right hand is in the vitarka mudra (teaching the doctrine). A stupa and lotus flower appear over the left shoulder. The figure is surrounded by an inscription - a mantra Om Mani Padme Hum. This figure is a type of Chenresig (Tibetan) or Avalokiteshvara (Sanskrit), a bodhisattva. 8.4X7.78cm
