Pounamu/dark nephrite, kawakawa variety, Arahura source.Head turned to left with peaked forehead, nostrils indicated, eyes well inset. Three fingered hands rest on thighs and breasts indicated. Initial scarf evident on rear of head for positioning of perforation drilled centre left above eye and completed from front. Original scarfs evident rear top of head and at bottom with five incises on lower legs and feet .
