Battle Axe, D24.2288
Physical Description
Steel blade, two convex curves central mount, shaft inserted through centre. Brown wooden shaft, bound with 5cm iron strap where blade mounted. Shaft bound with brass sheath, nailed to shaft, from blade to 12cm from pommel. Shaft topped by decorated bronze steeple (?), tapering to top, iron spear point (?) inserted in top. Brass pommel fastened by iron rivet on bottom.
