Physical Description
Nephrite/pounamu hei tiki, kawakawa variety. Made from adze with left hand portion broken away. Original suspension hole broken out and second attempt from the back partially completed.Eyes, has forked tongue and three teeth (one top centre and two sides), no defined nose. Original adze blade still evident immediately beneath hips. Arms sit on hips but hands/fingers not defined. Rear side may have been subject to low heat treatment, rear edges rounded off.
