Pounamu/nephrite, kawakawa variety. Pale to mid green with mottled patches prominent on face of blade running to proximal end. Yellow brown towards proximal end indicates low temperature heating. Blade has small chips at distal point, tapers to slight shoulders and slightly curved flat neck which slightly broadens out to butt. Butt broken diagonally across one side below perforation. No grooves on the butt. Straight perforation drilled from both sides
