Physical Description

Study skin of a big bird with head and tail in line with the body. Head is facing backwards and curved to the left. Both wings are folded against its body. Feet are crossed and held straight.

Research Notes

Skin sample from feet taken for genetic sexing (see Robertson et al 2000), which confirmed that recorded sex is correct. —Lucy Rowe
