Brown kiwi, Apteryx australis, AV3564

Physical Description

Large kiwi mounted in a natural standing position on a flat oval wooden base. Base is painted black and has an inscription on it in gold coloured paint. Head is facing forward and beak is extended toward the front. Whiskers are short.


Formerly Kempthorne and Prosser Company trademark. Specimen held in office for about 80 years.
Previous owners covered the feet and claws with their product (Kiwi boot polish) on a weekly basis for an unknown period of time. Kempthorne and Prosser
