Indian black vulture, Sarcogyps calvus, AV1531

Physical Description

Large bird of prey with very small amount of feathers on its head and none on its neck. Mounted in an upright standing position on a perch. Wings are folded back against its body and head is turned to look backward over its PL shoulder. Has some tufty feathers on its throat and chest. Ruff of white feathers between chest and abdomen.
