Last call for Otago Wildlife Photography favourites

With the Otago Museum’s 2016 Otago Wildlife Photography Exhibition drawing to a close this month, photography fans are reminded to get their vote in for their ‘People’s Choice’ before this is announced on Monday 10 October.

The exhibition, which closes on Sunday 16 October, showcases the winning entries from the ever-popular Otago Wildlife Photography Competition, alongside highly commended shots and a selection of hand-picked entries.

In addition, each of the over 1,900 entries received is viewable on touch screen computers within the exhibition. Using these touch screens, visitors can vote for their favourite, nominating it for the ‘People’s Choice Award’.

The ‘People’s Choice’ winner will receive a canvas print of his or her shot along with a photography voucher kindly provided by competition sponsor Jonathan’s Photo Warehouse.

Otago Museum Director Ian Griffin encourages those that haven’t already, to visit the exhibition before it closes.

“The calibre of entries received for the competition continues to grow each year, and this is evident in the beautiful exhibition that we have been privileged to host as a result,” says Griffin.

“Make sure you take this opportunity to view the incredible talent that we have within the region – and choose a favourite while you’re at it.”
